OMCC NOTICE 20170513: FAIRFAX COUNTY POLICE ANIMAL SERVICES DIVISION

Homeowners are advised to call the Animal Services Division if they see any unusual display from wild animals in the community.

On May 11, 2017, one of the residents in the community submitted a complaint form indicating, there is a rabid fox in our community.While on May 1, 2017, another homeowner emailed they have been experiencing a fox nuisance on their street.  They have located a den very close to the end of one of our rows of houses with several pups and some very aggressive parent foxes.  Their report indicate, the parent foxes have been attacking pets in the late afternoon/early evening and with the amount of pets on our street and small children, we don’t want there to be any more severe incidents or injuries.

In a few weeks, the school year will end and children will be playing throughout the community.   In addition to being concerned about the children and pets in our neighborhood, we’re also concerned about the well-being of the wildlife.
